I’m not sure mine would be the fairest of comparisons, as I think a PhD is quite a different degree to an undergraduate one (we don’t have any exam stress at Oxford for a start). Imperial is stuck in the middle of London, so Oxford seems pretty tame next to that. They both have world experts in various areas of physics (as well as loads of other subjects). Oxford has nicer pubs, London has more clubs, and generally much more going on. I guess I like them both. Sorry – that’s probably not very useful. I guess Oxfords traditions have a certain charm about them.

When you say you’re a tutor, does that mean you’re tutoring undergraduates?

Do you find that the Undergraduate physics course is very different at Oxford and Imperial?
