      Wormholes are “shortcuts”, which connect one part of spacetime to another. According to general relativity they could exist in principle. One end of a wormhole would look like a black hole and the other like a white hole. When you go into the black hole, you would come out of the white hole.

      I am afraid I don’t think these wormholes can really exist. First of all, we don’t know any physical mechanism that could create one, and also it seems that they would not be stable, so even if one was somehow created, it would close very quickly. But maybe these are just technical problems which can be solved.
