      It makes up at least 99% of your personal volume (i.e. most matter is actually mostly space).

      It is filled, everywhere, with photons left over from the Big Bang. These photons appear to us as microwaves with a temperature of 2.7K (i.e very cold). So even empty space is never completely empty!

      It is flexible. According to general relativity, energy bends space (or spacetime to be precise) and that causes gravity.
