• Question: When you do a new experiment when you conclude sometimes do you feel like wanting to do the experiment again for safety?

      absolutely, i always feel like i want to collect more data, do more repeat experiments, so that i can test the explanation that i have given in a conclusion. But that’s a little tricky in my area because the experiments are really expensive and you only get to do one or two major experiments a year. There are always going to be errors in an experiment and so to make your overall error smaller, it’s best to collect as many data points as possible, but sometimes you have to make a decision as to when to stop collecting data points and actually write up your findings and publish them so that others can see your conclusion and use it to better their research.
