• Question: why is there a cure for breast cancer and not a cure for the other cancers?

      Well, there isn’t a single cure for breast cancer, but there are quite a few treatments that can be quite successful if applied early on. I suppose they have higher success rates than a lot of other cancers because surgery is more straight-forward compared to say a brain tumour. There are also screening programmes, so it may be discovered at an earlier stage, which is easier to treat. Finally, there may have been more research applied to treating breast cancer than other cancers because it is a very common one.

      I’m not sure that there are any real cures yet, just treatments and early detection like James says.
