• Question: why should you be the one to win as you said what your doing with the money has already been done so why should you win?

      i’d like to win because even though my ideas have been done before, they haven’t been done for laser plasma research, and especially not for school age students. i really think that if more people like yourself know about the wonderful applications of laser plasma research and all the exciting science that it involves, then it would help you see how useful science is and hopefully encourage more people to take an interest in it. lots of scientists go into schools or give talks, but I want to do something a little different, something that means you’ll take in some science without even realising it because it’ll be more like entertainment rather than education.

      It’s really, really hard to do something that no one has done before. Even just thinking of the idea is hard.

      So even though a few people have done that before, I still think it would be a cool project for a school – how many schools do you know that took a photo from (nearly) space?

      I hope that the school kids would be enthusiastic about the idea (you can tell me if that is true!)
