• Question: Would you rather go to the bottom of the ocean or go to space?

      Space, definitely. I don’t like the idea of going deep underwater, because I would have to be in a confined space. Funnily enough, the idea of going to space does not feel as scary, even though I would be just as confined.

      I’d like the chance to go to space obviously, just for the view 🙂

      but sometimes I think we know more about space than we do about the creatures and life at the bottom of the ocean so maybe i would choose that because then i could discover something marvellous

      I think I read once that we know more about the surface of Mars than the bottom of the deep ocean. I don’t know if that’s true, but it’s certainly a weird world down there.

      I think it depends where in space you go. Those sub-orbital space rides that will be offered by Richard Branson don’t look all that amazing – you don’t get into orbit, you just pop out of the atmosphere for a few minutes. So I would choose the bottom of the deep ocean over that. On the other hand, going into orbit or even to the Moon would be amazing. Can you imagine walking on the Moon and knowing there is no other living thing on the whole planet – you’ve got the entire thing to yourself!
