• Question: do any of you have any religiious views, knowing the things that you know. if so, how do you rationalise the existance of god oor some greater power?

      It’s a good question. I’m not convinced either way on the subject personally, but I do think that Science is not in anyway ‘ousting’ God. Science tries to explain everything that we see, but no matter how well it does that, you can always ask questions that are beyond the scope of science (here I’m assuming that science always has an experimental aspect, which I think some parts of string theory don’t really adhere to).

      In addition there is something called Godel’s Theorem which says that within any set of rules (in this case lets say it’s a fundamental theory of science that explains everything, mathematically) you can always ask questions that are impossible to answer, with that set of rules. This is where God would reign.
